Honeymoon in Bali & Ubud: Most Romantic Hotels, Dinners & More
Romantic & Luxury Hotels – Honeymoon in Bali
Find a luxury hidden among the rice terraces and banana groves, as you head to your secluded, Honeymoon home. Simply constructed from natural materials, each villa contains everything you would expect from a luxury holiday in Bali. You can enjoy an incredible hillside pool, relax at the spa, or simply wander through the winding paths. Heaven on earth.
This resort is only five minutes from Ubud Central and has been equipped with all the accommodations to ensure your comfort and relaxation. You can enjoy their Kavari Spa or the infinity pool as you ponder upon Ubud’s greeneries. The resort emphasizes the traditional Balinese elements as their main theme in architecture and esthetics. They also offer yoga, cycling, trekking, and more.
Mathis Retreat (previously known as Kenaga Boutique Hotel) is a charming boutique hotel located 5 minutes away from the center of Ubud. It offers a breathtaking view over the rice fields, as well as unforgettable culinary experience in their reputed restaurant, serving an Indonesian as well International cuisine. You can also enjoy a uber-relaxing massage in their SPA, set in the middle of the rice paddies. You can also sign up for a cooking class or — if you have kids — book their babysitting services. (Kinda recommended for a honeymoon…)
Romantic Dinners – Honeymoon in Bali
Voted “One of the world’s top 50 best tables with a view”, La View Restaurant is a charming split-level setting with outdoor terrace. Their five-course gourmet menu combines the traditions of South East Asia, with a distinct French infusion. You can also book a table for private infinity pool dining. The view is absolutely breathtaking: you’ll enjoy a natural backdrop of timeless woodland greenery and the enchanting Ayung River Valley, under the baldachin of stars.
Escape Nomade is a complex of luxurious, air-cooled, tented villas (or simply: big, beautiful, bright tents). They have a romantic flair and exhale an atmosphere that give you the feeling of high-end safari experience. The tented Living Space in nature sets an example for sustainable living and puts into place the natural elements — water, wind and sun. Definately something for nature lovers. You can come here to enjoy a dinner as a part of Dining Within Tent, or Picnic Lunch, or Royal High Tea with Champagne.
The eclectic menu at RAW features a daring mix that is both traditional and delectable with an original twist. Be prepared for a creative synthesis of Japanese, Indonesian and South American flavors. All of it accompanied by a stunning jungle scenery. Tasting sessions are presented daily: 3-8pm.
Honeymoon SPA Experience – Honeymoon in Bali
Cantika is a complex of cute SPA houses (Jasmine, Alami and Zest), run by a local lady called Jasi. The newest one — Cantika Zest — is located at the end of Penestanan village (Ubud), on the edge of a rainforest. Zest reflects Jasi’s relation with nature: all spaces are airy, simple, colorful and comfortable. Here is where Jasi makes her organic products and hosts her workshops.
Cantika Spa treatments cost a little bit more than a local Balinese massage that you can get in Kuta — but it’s well worth it. You can choose from: original 1hr Balinese massage ‘mepijet‘ for 15$; beauty treatment ‘meurut‘ (body massage, scrub and soaking in a flower bath) for 20$; facial treatment ‘meraup‘ with all their own homemade skincare products for 10$; and more.
Bali is well famous for their beauty and wellness treatments. Ubud is no different — there’s plenty of options in and around Ubud, some of them being: Taksu Spa, Maya Ubud, Botanica Spa, Fivelements or any SPA in the hotels and resorts mentioned above.
