Cultural anthropologist, journalist, traveler and blogger. He started to travel the world at age of 18. As a correspondent of Polish Radio he was working in places such as: Afganistan, Pakistan, Kashmir, south Filipins, West Papua and other troubled areas of the region. Published author of the book and award winning reportages. Eight years ago he sold his business in Poland and moved to Bali where he founded Far Horizon. Once asked to talk about Asia, its history and culture – he can’t stop talking for hours, so think twice before asking him to do so. He doesn’t stop writing either – his texts can be found on: www.zorientowany.pl His favorite destination in Indonesia is Papua, where he became very close with some local tribes. He loves to share his passion to adventure and bring his clients to the most amazing places which he knows inside-out.
Ike is responsible for law and formal matters of the company. Please believe us – in Indonesia it is a task which enquires enormous determination, patience and strengths of character. Those are the values which make her a perfect person in this position. Besides that, she runs a hotel, diving center and is a happy mother of two beautiful kids. She loves running, dancing salsa, diving and travelling. Sometimes it is really hard to believe that in such a small person stuck behind a positive, inexhaustible energy.
Monika holds a diploma in Tourism and Recreation and has been studying Indonesian culture on the university in Malang, West Java. Fluent in Indonesian language, she has a great knowledge about the archipelago and understands nuances of local culture. When she’s not busy preparing itineraries and leading Far Horizons tours, Monika gets busy feeding friends with very healthy food and doing all kinds of sports. She keeps impressing us with her perfect work organization and patience.
Ni Putu Nanik Darmayani
Nanik starts her everyday work in Far Horizon office from inflammation of incense and sacrifice for the intention of a successful day. Just after that she takes indonesian tourism reality on her arms: reservations, tickets, transfer and fighting about the prices – all of that for the best of Far Horizon’s customers. She is known by every hotel, tour guide, driver and contractor from Sumatra till West Papua. Nanik is also a happy mother and the most sympathetic person in the world.
Stefanus is one of the most experienced tour guides in Bali, and thanks to that he has huge knowledge about working with clients from all over the world. He is Balinese converted to Christian, which means that his perspective of culture is extraordinary. His knowledge is boundless, passion – imperishable, and the kindness and sincere kindness – not to falsify. He also leads the community of local guides, from every of them is a true specialist. We are extremely proud to have such a great person in our team.
Ngurah Agung Indra
Pak Agung is a true… Prince. The youngest brother of Kerambitan King – kingdom of central Bali. Prince Agung with his family continue traditions from XVI century, live in original palace who was habited by 12 generations of the royal family. With his family he is responsible and takes care of economic and cultural regional development. They are respected on whole island. We have this great ability to work together on the most dare incentive projects for corporate clients – which thanks to prince contacts – are limited only by imagination.
Agus travelled the world while working on the passenger cruises, thanks to what ge gained unique travelling experience as well with development of team working and customer’s needs understanding. After coming back home to Bali, Agus started cooperation with Far Horizon. His main task is organizing fascinating adventures in all Indonesia archipelago. He loves sport and travels, especially those on the motorbikes – the bigger, the better!
