The pick-up from your hotel in south Bali will be ready at 8:00 AM. We proceed thru a countryside fast, so you can soak in the morning sun while walking thru stunning landscape of terraced rice fields to Belulang.
This small village greets you with several homes to experience and participate in daily activities of villagers.
In the first local house we try to weave a handmade offering basketfrom coconut leafs which is one of the most important and basic skills in Balinese life. You’ll need your offering later today in the village temple!
The residents of second home will teach us about coffee. Practice traditional coffee roasting and grinding. Experience this local coffee freshly brewed and get ready for next task.
In the third home, you’ll join a cooking class. Learn to cook some easy Balinese dishes which you’re able to recreate later at home.
At close-by rice fields, help a farmer to plow the field and seed the rice, the most important plant in Bali as for 65% inhabitants of our planet. Ok, it’s time for picnic lunch! Have a seat in a bamboo hut with panoramic view of paddy fields of the UNESCO world heritage site.
In the afternoon a priest invites us to the village temple and leads us thru a ceremony of blessing by holy water. This is going to be a very spiritual experience. Before entering the temple, we all dress up properly (wearing sarongs and kebayas), and we’ll be given offering with a fragarnt incense sticks. It’s gonna be an unforgettable experience afterward. You’ll be back at your hotel before sunset.
